Welcome to Mrs. Mordecai and Mrs. Turek!
OHSU is thrilled to introduce our new Earth Systems teacher, Mrs. Jessica Mordecai, who comes to us from West HS where she taught Earth Systems and received rave reviews from the administration there. She holds degrees in Geology, Anthropology and Geography, in addition to an M.Ed, from Syracuse, Idaho State and the U. She is excited to get in and create curriculum, interact with students, and get to know everyone better. She will be an excellent addition to our team, and I encourage each of you to reach out and introduce yourselves. Mrs. Mordecai replaces Miss Stone who is pursuing other business interests in stand up paddle surfing, and we wish her all the best in those endeavors.
We also wish the best to Mr. Josh Williams, Administrative Assistant, who is currently going back to school for additional education, and to Mr. Rob Nielsen, Curriculum Director. We appreciate all of their hard work during their time at OHSU. She has been the lead secretary at Venture Academy for the past year and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. Welcome!
Quarter Two
Your students have now begun their second quarter with OHSU. As a reminder, BYU courses will need to be finished by January 20th, 2010 in order to earn enough credits to move on to tenth grade next year.
